On a new custom home the hardscape has to look like it was specified with the house, not added afterwards. That is a colour problem before it is a construction one.
Selecting the stone
We worked with the client to select different colour stones to match the earth tones already found on their new home. Getting this right at the driveway matters most, because it is the first hardscape anyone sees and the largest single area of it.
Carrying it through
To complete the look we recommended custom stone veneer, which connects the home to their new backyard retaining wall and custom paver patio. The same stone language runs from the street frontage through to the back yard, so the property reads as one build.
Why pavers
A paver driveway flexes under load rather than cracking, and any area that ever settles can be lifted and reset instead of replaced.
